I DON'T HAVE AN OVEN

Good day Aunty Sazzy, how are you? Thanks for your educative posts. Please I have a little challenge, my gas cooker is a table top so i don't have an oven, is there any way I can bake with an improvised oven? I would like to try some of the recipes on your blog this Christmas period.

Thanks

  1. Hello, sorry for the late response. You can actually bake with an improvised oven, what you do, put sand inside a pot and line the pot with paper. cover the pot and place the pot on your cooker, allow it to heat up and place what you want to bake in it. Voila you have your oven.

  3. nother alternative is to arrange abt 3-4 empty small tin tomatoes can in ur pot (in such a way that the pan will be well balanced on it), cover up d pot nd allow it to heat up, thereafter u can place whatever u've got to bake in it nd u're good to go. The outcome is equally as good as d product from an oven. Hope this helps.

  4. @ Zoe this is a beautiful technique. And you can reuse the cans instead of having to look for sand every time you want to bake.

  6. Or you can simply turn a round baking pan upside down in the pot.
