What's wrong with my cake?

Good morning Aunty Sazzy. thanks so much for your posts so far. I have always desired to start a business in this line but I can't afford to pay for the classes so I decided to start with your recipes. I tried out the chocolate cake and it did not come out well. I don't know how to explain it but it's like the cake did not come together, as in it scatters easily. I tried as much as possible to follow the recipe. Please help me out.

  2. @ Poster, I think the problem with your cake was inadequate sodium bicarbonate. You can't make chocolate cake without it. And if you included it, then was it the specified quantity?

    How did you measure your ingrdients? Did you use a scale or you tried to convert into cup. Measurements of dry ingredients are best with a scale.

    If you want to start a business, I would recommend you go for actual training. The money you will spend on trial and error will almost be same as what you will spend on training.
