Covering Your Chocolate Cake

This post explains how to cover your chocolate cake see recipe Here: with chocolate butter-cream see recipe Here:

After baking your chocolate cake, while waiting for the cake to cool down, preparing your chocolate butter-cream.

Get a cake board/drum (cake board and cake drum are the same, just called differently by different people) and clean with either confectioners alcohol or vinegar.

With your palette knife spread a bit of butter cream on your board.

Place your cake board on your turn table. If you don't have one you can improvise with a pan or a bowl turned upside down.

Place one of your cakes on the cake board ensure it is centralized except you want an offset.

If your cake is slighly raised at the center, you might consider triming it a bit to get a flat surface

Cover the top of the cake generously with the chocolate buttercream

Place the second cake on to making sure the flat surface (base) is up.

Cover you cake lightly with butter-cream to seal the crumbs and leave to seat for a while.

Cover the cake generously with chocolate buttercream.

Smoothen the icing.

Romove the excess icing around the edge.

With your piping bag and nozzles of your choice design the cake.

Voila!!!!!! you have your chocolatey delight!
